Certain Hyundai vehicles may experience malfunction of the high and or low pitch horns due to water ingress. The warranty coverage for the horn assemblies has been extended to 10 years or 200,000 km, whichever occurs first, from date of original delivery. This bulletin provides instructions to replace the horn assemblies with improved ones.

On certain 2020-2023MY Sonata (DN8/DN8a) and 2021-2023MY Santa Fe (TMa) vehicles equipped with 2.5 GDI or 2.5 T-GDI engines and 2022-2023MY Tucson (NX4) vehicles equipped with 2.5 GDI, DTC P2181 – Cooling System Performance may be triggered due to a faulty Integrated Thermal Management Module (ITM). This bulletin provides instructions to replace the ITM and to update the ECU and TCU.

An ECU upgrade is available for 2019MY Sonata (LFa), 2019-2020MY Santa Fe (TMa) and 2019-2021MY Tucson (TL) vehicles equipped with Theta-II 2.4 GDI engine to improve emissions logic. This bulletin provides instructions to apply the latest ECU software.

Certain 2020-2022MY Palisade (LX2) vehicles may exhibit a rear parking sensor warning on the instrument cluster with DTC(s) B121X – Rear sensor error triggered, due to broken rear bumper harness wiring. This bulletin provides instructions to inspect and to replace the rear bumper wiring harness on vehicles exhibiting symptoms.

Certain 2019-2020MY Elantra (AD), 2019-2021MY Kona (OS), and 2019-2020MY Veloster (JS) vehicles equipped with Nu 2.0 MPI Atkinson engine may develop abnormal scuffing on the engine’s cylinder bore due to inconsistent nitride heat-treating of piston oil rings. A damaged cylinder bore may result in accelerated oil consumption, abnormal knocking noise, and/or illumination of oil pressure warning lamp. This bulletin provides the procedure to inspect the engine for cylinder bore damage and to replace with a new one, if necessary.

There is a setting mismatch between the body control module (BCM) microcomputer and the CAN controller settings. This causes the BCM to lose B-CAN communication, resulting in the following symptoms:  The ACC and LKAS indicators flashing.  Turn signal/hazard lights do not work.  Rear view camera and door/trunk locks do not work at all. These symptoms can occur intermittently, and can also set DTCs U128D, U1291, U1281, and/or U1280.

Certain 2020-2025MY Palisade (LX2) vehicles may be equipped with front and second-row seatbelt buckle assemblies that contain out-of-spec components. These components may prevent the seatbelt buckle from fully latching, particularly when the seatbelt tongue plate is inserted slowly in cold conditions. This bulletin outlines the procedures to replace the front and second-row left and right seatbelt buckle assemblies to correct this condition.

On certain 2021MY Palisade (LX2) vehicles, the C-pillar garnishes may have been improperly installed. This bulletin provides the instructions to inspect and, if necessary, replace the C-pillar garnishes.
